Wedding Photography | Highgate Hill Brisbane | Sam + Greg

A couple of weeks ago I had the awesome experience of photographing a good friend's wedding. Most people would think Id prefer being a guest at a friend's wedding considering photographing weddings is a job, so for once I could enjoy the day - not for me, Id much rather being photographing the day because besides photography being my job, I do it because I love it, and what better compliment than a friend asking you to photograph her special day, so I think I had the best time of all.

Now Sam and Greg aren't your typical Bride & Groom.  With only 6 weeks to plan, Sam created a beautiful day to celebrate their new status. With the first dress not quite what Sam planned, only 5 days before the wedding dress number 2 began.  And just 2 days before the wedding a venue change.  Then onto a beautiful dinner at Rapide at Camp Hill with the wedding cake made up of cupcakes made by Sam herself. But what an awesome occasion for family and friends to gather and celebrate the uniting of two awesome people.

The venue for Sam & Greg's unique wedding ceremony was the viewing platform from Torbreck www.torbreck.com.au, Queensland's first residential high-rise building built in 1960, celebrating 50 years this year.  We took the lift up as far as it goes, then 3 flights of stairs through passageways typical of its era, finally reaching the top to be greeted with a breathtaking 360 degree view of Brisbane and its surrounding suburbs.  I was really excited to be the first photographer ever to capture the first wedding at Torbreck.

Dear Sam, I thank you for your encouragement, support and friendship - you inspire me more than you know!! Love you.  All the best to you and Greg for a happy future. xxx

Here is just a taste of the photos ... enjoy !!
